Best 8 Days in Morocco from Casablanca: Fes & Marrakech

You’ll be picked up from your Hotel or the airport in Casablanca,then begin your 8 day Morocco itinerary from Casablanca to Casablanca by visiting Hassan II Mosque, Africa’s largest mosque, which is accessible to non-Muslims. Afterward, proceed to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will see some of the most lovely sites, such as the Mohammed V, Mausoleum and Hassan Tower.

Following that, we journey through the Riff Mountains, admiring the finest sceneries along the way.  Arriving in Meknes, Discover the magnificent Moulay Ismail monuments, such as Bab Mansour and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Following that, we continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After that, drive to Fes dop you off at your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

Begin your full-day tour by exploring Fes, the former imperial capital of Morocco. Firstly, meet your local guide, and then visit Fes’ historical sites and lead you past well-known attractions including the old Medina of Fes, and Al Karaouine University, the oldest university in the world.

Following that, We’ll go to Dar Lmakhzan, referred to as the Royal Palace, which is the current home of King of Morocco, Dar Lmakhzan is a magnificent architectural marvel that was built during the Alaouite period. After that, visit Bouaanania Madrasa, one of the oldest schools in the city.

Additionally,visit Chaouary Tanneries, where original leather is used to make clothes, bags, shoes…etc. Following that, take you to borj Nord overlooking the old medina of Fes, and then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the second night of your 8 Day itinerary Morocco from Casablanca to Casablanca.

In the morning, we’ll meet at your riad in Fes and then drive to Ifrane known as “The Little Switzerland of Morocco,” before continuing on to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga passing through Cedar Forest of Azrou, Morocco’s largest Forest. Stopping to take some pictures with Barbary monkeys. 

We continue our 8 days Morocco itinerary via Ziz Valley, which offers breathtaking views of the Tafilalt oasis’ natural splendour, passing through Midelt, where we Stop for lunch. Arriving in Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils make a visit to Fossil museum. Next, we head to Rissani, one of the ancient Moroccan cities. 

Arriving in Merzouga desert where you camel guide will be waiting for you to you on a camel ride crossing the dunes of Merzouga. Stopping for a breathtaking sunset over the dunes of Merzouga then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend the night at your luxury desert camp.

Wake up early to catch an amazing sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After a delicious breakfast at your desert camp, we’ll take you on a tour of Merzouga desert where you’ll meet Berber families behind the dunes, experience their traditional lifestyle and try their pizza. After that, we will head to khamlia, to visit an African musical group, Observe their unique music and explore their lifestyle. 

Lunchtime ( Free time to go on quad or buggy ride or even sandboarding) (optional). Then explore Hassi Lbeid oases before transferring you to your Riad where you’ll spend the night.

After breakfast at your Riad in Merzouga, we continue your trip toward Rissani where you’ll visit Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum, and then move on to the historic souks of Rissani, walk through these traditional souks with your guide, and explore the bedouin lifestyle. 

We will then continue on our journey towards Todra Gorges, admiring the finest sceneries along the way passing through some Berber villages along the way. Stopping at Berber cooperative in Melaab where you can get Henna, known as the Moroccan Tattoo (optional).

After lunch, drive to Todra Gorges, taking in the incredible sceneries along the way. Later arrive in Todra Gorges, walk along its marvelous river and get some photographs. Following that, head to Dades Gorges where you’ll visit the rock formation known as ” Monkey Fingers” and then drop you off at your accommodation where you’ll spend the night. 

Your 8 Day Morocco itinerary will take you through Kalaat M’gouna or the rose city, where you can explore a local cooperative for cosmetic products (optional stop). Then travel through Skoura. After lunch, continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village, known for its 1000 Kasbahs.

Next, visit the famous Ameridile Kasbah, presenting the unique Moroccan architecture Afterward, explore Skoura;  famous for its distinctive palm groves. Following this, you’ll tour the film studio of Ouarzazate and the Tourirt Kasbah. Next, we continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heriatge site and a favorite place for film producers where Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy have been filmed.

Next, you’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains, making a stop at Tizi N Tichka pass,  2,260 meters. From there, you’ll drive to Marrakech, enjoying the breathtaking views along the High Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival in Marrakech, you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech, you’ll begin exploring the vibrant city of Marrakech with your local tour guide. At First, start by visiting the famous Saadian Tombs. Then, we’ll continue our full-day tour with a stop at Bahia Palace. Following that, explore Badi Palace and Tanneries. Afterward, we’ll head to Menara, where you can enjoy th best of your time. Later on, we’ll take you to the Koutoubia Mosque,the second Largest Mosque in Morocco.

Late afternoon, visit Djemaa Lfenna Sequare where you can watch some fun activities including ( musicians, dancers, storytellers, snake charmers…etc). After that, go for a quick stroll through Marrakech’s Old Medina’s souks and historical sites, overnight at your accommodation riad near the Medina of Marrakech.
