2 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga

Your 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga desert starts with a pick up from your accommodation or the airport in Fes, heading toward Merzouga desert, admiring the charming sceneries along the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stopping in ifrane, known as ” The Little Switzerland of Morocco” Explore the city ‘sculptural Atlas Lion, and then drive toward the Cedar Forest, Morocco’s Largest Forest. Stopping for taking some photographs with Barbary monkeys. 

Next stop on the journey will be Midelt, famous as “The City of Apples.” This city is the first in Morocco to grow apples and is home to apple farming lands. After that, you will be amazed by the lovely sceneries of the High Atlas Mountains as you cross Tizi N Talghamt pass.

Late afternoon, you’ll reach Aoufous where you’ll stop to witness an incredible view over the Ziz valley. Following that, we pass through the glorious Tafilalet oases. Arriving in Arfoud known as the date capital, making a visit to fossil museum in the city.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will be welcomed with mint tea and then embark on a camel ride across the captivating dunes of Merzouga lasting about an hour and a half After capturing some incredible photos with sunset, and then you’ll reach your desert camp in the middle of the desert where you’ll spend a magical night with fabulous drumming party around the campfire.

In the morning, we’ll start your day by watching a breathtaking sunrise over the magnificent dunes of Merzouga, and then return to the camp for a delicious breakfast. Afterward, head back to Fes, enjoying the marvelous landscapes along the way.

Then, we’ll visit a nomad family to learn more about their way of life, and then continue to Rissani, one of the oldest cities in Morocco, visit Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum and walk through the bustling souks of Rissani, where you’ll get a glimpse into the bedouan lifestyle. Following that, continue your trip through the majestic Atlas Mountains admiring the incredible sceneries along the way.

After lunch, we’ll proceed to Azrou and the lovely city of Ifrane, often called “The Little Switzerland.” By late afternoon, arrive in Fes and drop you off at the airport or your accommodation in Fes, finishing  your 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga desert with unforgettable experiences and memories.
