6 Days in Morocco itinerary from Casablanca; desert & Marrakech

Depart at 8:00 a.m. for the Erg Chebbi dunes taking in the amazing sceneries along the way. Firstly, we’ll stop in Ifrane,  a small town with Swiss-inspired architecture, and then pass through the cedar forest of Morocco, where you’ll have the chance to see some Barbary monkeys. After that, you’ll arrive in Midelt, known as ”the Apple Capital”, where you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Next, the trip continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains and Ziz Valley, famous for its captivating gorges, palm groves, and diverse crops. After that, you’ll arrive in Erfoud, known as ”the date Capital” then you’ll explore a fossil museum in the city.

By the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga desert. After one hour camel ride through Erg Chebbi dunes, you’ll stop at a beautiful dune to watch the sunset. Then, you’ll head to the camp in the middle of the desert, check into your luxury private tent with an ensuite bathroom and hot shower  and then enjoy a lovely night with drumming party around the campfire.

After breakfast at Riad in Merzouga,  travel to Dades Valley. Making stop in Rissani to explore its large traditional souks. Then, continue your journey through several Berber towns and villages on the way to Todra Gorges.  Making stop at Berber house where you can get Henna, known as the Moroccan tattoo (Free & optional) Arriving at Todgha Gorges, one of Morocco’s most breathtaking natural sites, walk along the Gorges with your guide. 

The gorge is a popular spot for hiking and a place where nomads come down from the mountains to get water from the river. Enjoy a walk around and explore the area before having lunch. Later, you’ll travel to the Dades Valley and Dades Gorges, with stops to admire the famous rock formation “Monkey Fingers” Enjoy an overnight stay at a hotel in Dades Valley.

In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Dades Gorges, allowing you to enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes along the way. We’ll make stop in Kalaat M’gouna, also known as the “Rose City,” where you’ll visit a local cooperative (optional stop). Afterward, we’ll take the road known as ” the 1000 Kasbahs,” Stopping at Skoura palm Groves to marvel at the impressive views. There, you will have the opportunity to visit Ameridile Kasbah one of the ancient kasbahs in the region.

From there, the 6-day desert tour from Casablanca continues toward Ouarzazate, where you’ll explore its famous film studios. The tour will then take you to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a favorite place for filmmakers where several movies like Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy. After that, cross the impressive High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Tizi N’Ticka pass.

By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech and transfer you to your Riad at the old Medina of Marrakech, where you’ll spend last night of your 6 Days in Morocco itinerary.

Following breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech. at First, meet up with your local guide and begin a full day sightseeing tour of Marrakech with visits to Majorelle Garden, Saadian Tombs, and Badi Palace. After that, we will make our way to visit historic Medina of Marrakech; explore the Semmarine souks and Sekkakine souks on foot. Afterward, proceed with your tour by visiting Menara Garden, a fantastic location with plenty of things to see. Next, we will explore Madrasa Ben Youssef, one of the oldest educational schools in Morocco.

Late afternoon, we will visit Djamaa lfena square where you can enjoy various fun activities such as snake charmers, musicians, magicians, and storytellers Finally transfer you to your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech or Casablanca based on your flight location concluding your 6 days in Morocco itinerary from Casablanca to Marrakech.
