Top Itinerary of 5 Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour:

Day 1:Arrival in Fes - Fes Full day tour:

Upon your arrival in Fes, our driver will greet you at the airport exit and take you to your accommodation to drop off your luggage. Following that, you will start your sightseeing tour of Fes by visiting Al-Qarawiyyin University, which is known as the world’s oldest university.

Afterward, check out the Batha Museum and make a stop at the Najjarine Madrasa, one of Morocco’s most ancient schools. Following that, enjoy a leisurely walk through the lively streets of Fes’ historic Medina, exploring the Sekkakine souks, where many products relaed to the Moroccan and Jewish culture are sold.

Later continue to the Tanneries, famous for crafting authentic leather items like clothing, handbags, and shoes. After that, go to Borj Nord to enjoy a panoramic over the city of Fes and then,visit Dar al-Makhzan, known as the Royal Palace of Morocco’s king. In the late afternoon, we’ll transfer you to your Riad where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2:Fes - Cedar Forest of Azrou - Merzouga desert (7H):

We will head towards the Sahara desert of Merzouga, enjoying the beautiful landscapes as we pass through Ifrane, also known as Morocco’s little Switzerland, visiting the Atlas lion, and then moving on to Cedar Forest, which is Morocco’s largest forest. Following that, make your way to the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Stop at Midelt, also known as ”the Apple Capital”. Then, continue the trip through the Ziz Valley, enjoying the beautiful landscapes along the way passing through Tizi N Talghamt pass. 

Upon reaching Aoufous, take in the breathtaking view of the town and Ziz valley,and then continue to Merzouga desert for a camel trek through the dunes, witness a admirable sunset and then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend the night in the middle of the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga Full day tour :

After having breakfast at your desert camp in the morning, start your tour around the dunes of Merzouga. Visit Hassi lbeid oasis, walk through its natural farms,and then head to meet nomads living behind the dunes of Merzouga, explore their way of life and try Berber Pizza. Following that, take a trip to Mefis desert and enjoy its amazing view overlooking Merzouga.

Afterwards, we will visit Khamlia, where you will explore  African-descendants from Mali, Niger, and Sudan and learn about their traditional music and way of life. After that, explore the National Car Museum. In the late afternoon, you will have free time to experience Buggy and Quads, if interested. before being taken to your Riad near the dunes of Merzouga where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4:Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges(4H):

In the morning, we will continue your 5 day tour from Fes to Marrakech by making our way to the historic city of Rissani, enjoying the desert views along the way. Upon arrival in Rissani, we will first visit Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum before stroling though the bustling souks of the city, known as a the trade city, Rissani is famous for its Madfouna dish, which you order for for lunch.

Afterward, take a drive through the beautiful oasis of Tafilalet, enjoying the impressive sceneries on the way . Stopping in the small Berber town of Fezna to see Khatarat, an ancient irrigation system used by Berber to water their farms in the past,  Along the route to Todra Gorges, make a stop at a Berber cooperativeto get Henna, known as the Moroccan Tattoo. Upon reaching Tinghir, take pleasure in its beautiful oasis and hike alongside the impressive Todra Gorges (320m).

Next, continue to Dades Gorges where you’ll visit Monkey Fingers rock formation and Tisadrine winding road in the late afternoon you’ll be transferred to your Kasbah where you will spend the last night of your 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech.

Day 5:Dades Valley - Kalaat M'gouna- Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech (5H):

In the morning, head to Kalaat M’gouna, also known as the rose city, and stop by a nearby cooperative to see how they make cosmetic products from roses. Following that, take the road  of 1000 kasbahs while enjoying the most beautiful views on the route. After that, visit Ameridil kasbah, one of the historical kasbahs (Tighrmt). Next, continue your 5 days tour  through Ouarzazate, recognized as the Hollywood of Africa, explore the Film Studio and Taourirt kasbah.

Next, visit Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village and UNESCO world heritage site known for being the filming location of movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy. lunchtime, we will travel to Marrakech through the Tizi N Tichka pass,  2260 meters high admiring the marvelous sceneries along the High Atlas Mountains.

Our driver will pick you up from your location, whether it’s the airport or your accommodation. Please provide us with your accommodation address so that the driver will pick you up there at 8:40 a.m.

If I prefer not to go to the camp by camel, is there any other ways to get there?

Certainly, we offer a 4×4 Jeep as an alternative to camel rides for transferring you to the camp.

If I go to the camp by camel, will my luggage be transported there as well?

Ci siamo divertiti moltissimo in Marocco, abbiamo prenotato questo eccellente tour di 6 giorni da Fes a Marrakech, che è stato un viaggio fantastico, siamo partiti da Fes, la città spirituale del Marocco, poi abbiamo visitato l’incantevole città di Ifrane, il viaggio è stato un magia mentre andavamo a sud, in Marocco… ecc. Abbiamo visitato il deserto del Sahara di Merzouga dove abbiamo fatto un eccellente giro in cammello attraverso le dune di Merzouga dove trascorrerai una notte indimenticabile in mezzo al deserto, poi siamo andati a Marrakech dove potrai goderti un giro turistico della città.Il nostro autista è stato eccezionale, disponibile e gentile.
