5 – Day Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8:40 a.m,  and take you on 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert via the magnificent Atlas Mountains, admiring the breathtaking landscape along the way.

We head up the lofty heights of The Tizi N Tichka pass at 2260 meters, we’ll stop to marvel at some Berber villages nestled in the Atlas Mountains. Our next destination is Ouarzazate, taking the amazing road of Talouet.  Enjoy an impressive vew over the Paradise Panorama before arriving in the well-known Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is famous for  films producers including Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

Continuing our 5 days desert tour through Ouarzazate, also known as  “Hollywood of Africa,” where we will visit the film studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Following a delicious lunch in Ouarzazate. We’ll go via Skoura, which is known for its numerous kasbahs, and see the spectacular fortified Kasbah of Ameridile.

Our trip then takes us to the breathtaking Dades Gorges via Kalaat M’gouna, famously  known as the Rose City. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in  Dades Gorges and drop you off at your Kasbah where you’ll spend the first night of your 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.

In the morning, we’ll drive to Tisadrine, an impressive wavy road. Following that, we continue our 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga via Todra Gorges, a haven for climbers and nature enthusiasts alike. There, we’ll have the opportunity to explore the awe-inspiring canyons, which soar up to 300 meters in height. Keep your eyes peeled for Berber Nomads tending to their goats near the groges.

Afterward,  we’ll travel through Tinghir palm groves  and Tinjedad, stopping for a delicious lunch along the way. we’ll then continue our journey to the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Stopping at a local cooperative on the road to Merzouga to learn about Berber culture and try on Berber weeding dress (Free & optional).

Later on, we arrive in Merzouga desert where you’ll begin your camel ride adventure crossing the dunes of Merzouga. Stopping to wach an incredible sunset and then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend a magical night.

Wake up early to view the breathtaking sunset, and then return to your desert tent for breakfast. Following that, begin the trip of Merzouga desert by visiting nomad families behind the dunes; learn about their lifestyle and experience Berber Pizza.

Continue our day tour to Mefis desert, where we will see fossils of mines. Later, we travel to Khamlia, where you will meet a musical group from Mali and learn about their distinctive way of life and listen to their unique music. Late afternoon, we continue our trip to Hassi Lbeid Oasis and then take you to your Riad where you’ll spend the night near the dunes of Merzouga.

After being done with the Sahara desert of Merzouga, we continue our 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga by making a visit to Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum then visit the local souks in Rissani where nomads acquire their supplies. Following that, we drive across the black mountains, Jebl Sghrou, and enjoy the amazing views of the grey desert.

Stopping for lunch in Alnif.  Late afternoon, arrive in Nkob, famous as the Kingdom of Kasbahs, admire the greatest kasbahs and walk through its enchanting palm groves and  immerse yourself in local life and then you will be transferred to your kasbah where you’ll spend the night.

Wake up to admirable sceneries of the palm groves of Draa Valley as the morning unfolds. Following a satisfying breakfast at your Hotel in Nkob, we continue on a drive towards Ouarzazate, Hollywood of Africa, via Agdez, treating you to splendid sceneries of oases along the route.  We’ll Stop at Ait Souen to soak in its picturesque landscapes.

Traversing through the city of Ouarzazate, we’ll also make a stop at an Argan oil cooperative nestled atop the majestic High Atlas Mountains. By late afternoon, we’ll reach Marrakech, transferring you to your accommodation or airport in Marrakech, concluding  your memorable 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga with memories to remember.
